Like the split oven option and convection function

Bought this a year ago as part of a complete kitchen remodel. Have not had an opportunity to use the steam function - plan bread baking this year to try. I don't use the smart cook options since I usually know what I need.
Pros: ability to split into two ovens for different temperatures; like convection function; stainless finish easy to keep clean; racks are sturdy with flexible options; lock is helpful
Cons: seems to take a long time to heat to desired temperature; because this is located below my cooktop, the temperature and time selections can be a bit difficult - would not be a problem at waist height or higher; takes a while to cool down after use; there is already dirt between the glass in the door - not readily visible but I know it's there

I owned Electrolux Oven before this and I thought I would never find a good replacement. I love to bake and this oven did not just meet my expectation but it exceeded it. It is a perfect fit, has an outstanding design and it is a great addition to my kitchen. I would definitely recommend.

This oven is everything I can ask for! It is a beautiful high end wall oven. It visually enhance the look of the kitchen by a mile. you turn the dial to the setting you like, ex: broil, bake. And set the timer and off you go. There is a added shelf that when in use, lets you split the cooking into two different setting. Ex. you can broil 1 and bake the other.
This oven is "Smart" so you can control the oven remotely using the Samsung App. Although this feature is cool, I don't foresee using as much but it does not take away from the beauty of the oven.
The touchscreen feature just makes everything feel more high end. What would be cool is the there are nicer screensavers
The oven is very easy to use.
Overall, our family has been very satisfied with the oven. The kids LOVED the baked BBQ ribs, baked potatoes and even the broccolis.

This oven is not only beautiful, but it is LOADED with features. I consider myself and experienced home chef & baker, but I definitely had to read the manual for this one. It has options for steaming, convection, broiling and standard baking. There are also specialty options to control how the oven cooks like "smart control", "gourmet cook" and "healthy cook". I love that you can divide the oven into 2 sections with separate temperatures- like having a double oven without needing all the space. When the interior oven light is on, you can see clear into the oven- as if the glass disappears. It's also loaded with features to connect the oven to your phone and schedule cook times, as well as the necessary basics like an oven lock and self cleaning option. The capacity is great and we love the sliding interior rack. The touch screen up front is also amazing- the display is huge and beautiful and easy to operate. I'm so excited to have this addition to our kitchen and look forward to cooking many more meals in it!

I have been using this oven for 2 years now. While I have not used all of the features, like the "flex duo", everything else is perfect. The temperature control thermostat is very good, as well as the remaining controls. They are all easy to understand and use.

I've owned my oven for over 2 1/2 years, and am as happy with it now as I was in the beginning. My favorite feature is the divider tray that lets me use only the bottom section of the oven. With normally cooking for only two people, it has plenty of space, and gets used quite a bit more than the top section or the full oven. I love how it heats up so quickly. This has turned out to be the perfect oven for us!

We've had this oven for nearly two years. All aspects related to cooking food are great. We often take advantage of the flex duo features and the smaller sections preheat very fast. The touchscreen could use some improvements
1. The clock should be able to stay on constantly. Most people like to look up and see the clock rather than a blank screen which can look like a power failure.
2. Ours has been known to "reboot" which often happens when trying to go fast, hitting lots of buttons, turning the knob fast, etc. Regardless, this "tablet" on the front of the oven shouldn't need to reboot after "crashing" like this. It has always come back but this can be annoying.
In addition, the "smart" features are also somewhat a waste as you need to remember to turn the knob to the correct position in order to be able to turn on the oven (for instance to pre-heat on your way home) from the phone app. Why bother having to set the knob beforehand as you could just set a delay timer to preheat starting at 5pm. To make it useful you should be able to turn on the oven remotely anytime you want. We tend not to use the "automated cooking" features that use the temperature probe and are meant to take any guess work out of cooking.
Overall, the oven is great and I would highly recommend.

I am very happy with this oven I bought two months ago to replace my JennAir. I love the flex oven feature and usually only use one half of the oven at a time. The oven preheats to 400 degrees in less than ten minutes. I've use the steam roast feature once and was very happy with it. The only thing I would change is the ability to keep the clock visible; it turns off after a few minutes.

it's so slow pressing things - can be seconds from you turn the light on before it responds. in the meantime you press again thinking you missed the button only to now turn it off again. the temperature knob makes no sense and too slow even compared to the sloooow touch screen. i've never seen a software update, so that's very samsung to not update their software like everything else they make. device frequently auto-reboots too, and a few times i had to turn it off on the breaker to get it to come back on. notifications are rather useless - for instance won't notify you when the timer goes off etc.

it is flakey. it re-boots randomly. sorry, ovens shouldn't have anything in them that needs a two- minute boot. and twice it has just stopped with an c-21 error- oven is 'over temperature'.
except it isn't. measures just fine on a pro-grade fluke thermocouple meter.
you have to flip the breaker off to clear that code.
diy parts availability is just about nil. example:after two years our racks were looking pretty roached so i thought i would buy new ones. one is no longer available ( per severalparts vendors including samsungparts.com), and the other is $277. for a rack !!! the main controller board is about half of that ( reasonable) if you can find it.

Samsung does it again with its over the top HIGH END design Built In Oven! Where to begin?
I just want to stress on the fact that this appliance looks stunning. It has significantly improved the overall look of our kitchen.
PROS:
1) Stunning piece of art
2) We love the fact that there is a pan to split the oven in two to allow for cooking at two different settings. You could be cooking something that you will need to broil and another item to bake. Instead of having to wait for the first item to complete cooking, this oven will allow for two different settings AT THE SAME TIME!!!
3) Simple touchscreen design: This oven was design to EASILY navigate through all the settings and controls. Normally, you would have to read through a manual 2 - 3 times before you fully understand how to use something. I did not have to do that at all, as the controls are just very simple.
4) Built in Temperature Probe: That was a nice surprise. How annoying is it that we have to always pull open the oven just to check on the temperature which the oven then significantly loses its temperature. With the built in thermometer, oven will only need to be open once!
5) It has a smart feature that you can control from your phone. But as cool as it sounds, the smart feature is probably more a gimmick than useful.
This brings me to the only CON that I can think of at the moment.
CON: Although I haven't had to use this feature yet, I have however, played around with it. What I noticed is that it will probably not going to be used much. For starters, you have to switch the knob to "Smart Control" prior to use. You will also need to confirm that you will be using the smart control. If both of these are not done prior to controlling the oven with the phone, it will not work. So the only time I can think this will be useful is that you put somethign in the oven, and then you have to leave to run errands. Then it can shut the oven off via the phone. BUT personally, I would not leave the house for a long period of time if I had something in the oven. Therefore, I do not foresee myself using the smart feature much.
Overall:
I love the oven so far and did that care for the smart feature to start with. You can remove this feature and it would not change my impression of the oven one bit. Looking forward to many more years of use.
P.S. We baked some ribs and tri tips and they were AMAZING!!! The oven got up to temperature very fast

I really enjoy our new Samsung Flex Duo oven. I'm pretty basic when it comes to cooking which makes this oven perfect for me. It looks nice and it's easy to operate. You select your setting wait for it to heat up and pop your food in. It cooks evenly and quickly.
The Flex Duo offers a dehydration feature, which I have not heard of an oven offering. I am a big fan of beef jerky. Now that I have an appliance with a dehydration feature, I can start to save some money.
The only downside to the oven that I've noticed is that the temperature probe does not work with all settings on the oven.

Samsung has truly outdone themselves again, with this Flex-Duo Single Wall Oven. This oven offers features that only they have, such as this Flex-Duo technology that allows you to cook multiple items at the same time and at different temperatures. This is possible through a divider that allows me to convert my oven into two ovens. This will definitely come in handy over the holidays, along with the six possible rack positions.
I also love the steam option that this oven offers. I love chicken, with this option and easy fill tray, I can bake, broil and roast, without the worry of my chicken becoming dry. The only thing is that you have to drain the water after each use.
The dual convection fans are very powerful and they have definitely saved me a lot of time. Not only, do they help preheat my oven rapidly, they help circulate the heat, so all of my food is cooked evenly.
My absolute, favorite feature, is the Gourmet Auto Cook. This pre-programmed recipe guide helps me to cook all types of recipes, with excellent results.
I haven't had the opportunity to use the self cleaning feature yet, but I know it's definitely going to come in very handy during the holidays.
The most important feature, that Samsung added, is the Child Safety Lock. I have a daycare in my home, so safety is definitely a very important factor for me.
I absolutely love my new oven and I cannot wait to recommend it to all of my friends and family.

My wife pretty much does all of the cooking in our home, so when she received this Samsung Flex-Duo Wall Oven, I definitely had to try out all of the features, with her.
The Flex-Duo feature is definitely one of our favorite features. We cook a lot of food over the holidays. With this option, we can cook our Turkey or Ham, and a casserole at the same time. This is definitely going to save a lot of time at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I also love the Dual Convection Fans. They are very powerful, which in turn keeps the moisture in and helps the food to cook evenly. They also help to preheat the oven a lot quicker.
We also love the Steam option. You can bake, broil and roast, all with this option, but you have to empty after each use.
This oven also offers six different rack positions, which, in turn, gives you a lot more room to cook multiple things at the same time.
Overall, my wife and I absolutely love our new, Samsung Flex-Duo Oven, and we can't wait to tell our friends and family all about it.

This oven is amazing! The outside is very elegant including two solid knobs and an easy to read clock in which you have the option to choose between analog and digital. The inside of the oven is an electric blue color that sparkles when you open it. More importantly than its good looks is its amazing functions! It preheats very quickly, and even has the ability to start from a smartphone! It's so convenient to start preheating the oven on the way home from work! It also allows food to cook at two different temperatures at the same time. This will be amazing for the holidays and I am looking forward to using this feature. It cooks perfectly. My food is crispy and delicious! I love the timer! If you need more time, it prompts you to add five more minutes and tells you the time your food will be ready. You will be delighted with this product! It's a definite buy!

Samsung Flex Duo oven is easy to use. The stainless steel exterior gives your kitchen a sleek and modern look. Definitely gives your kitchen that upgrade it needs. The knobs are easy to turn and the screen is easy to see. Also, the touch screen is easy to navigate. There is a smart divider inside, to use both top and bottom of the oven if need be. The baking racks glides in and out at ease. This oven heats up fast and is easy to use. When it comes to cleaning the Flex Duo oven, you won't have to spend hours cleaning. You can turn the smart control to knob to clean and it will clean the oven. One thing I love most about my new Flex Duo oven is its connected to my smart phone. The phone alerts you when your oven has pre heated, in use, and when your timer goes off. So burning things in the oven or not hearing the timer is the least of my worries. No one can believe this oven and that includes me, this oven looks amazing and it syncs with my phone and tells me when the food is done. I have not had such a seamless experience with a product like this before. I really like how it includes a built in thermometer and this takes the guess work out of knowing if I cooked the food to the right temperature. I can't wait to put this oven through the paces on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I enjoy using the oven and I am able to cook multiple things at once. I like the divider it gives me the option to cook two separate meals because if you know kids they never all want the same thing.

We received our new Samsung oven last week. We got the stainless steel and I have been using it to prepare different kinds of meals. So far, I have been really enjoying it. The oven comes with two separate compartment zones to cook two different meals at the same time. It uses a divider that can be used while cooking different meals at different temperatures, and you can remove the divider to cook a larger single meal. I love the blue lights on the front - it's beautiful!! The "Healthy Cooking" and Gourmet Cooking" features make cooking more interesting (and maybe easier for my husband).
I love and enjoy cooking. This oven has has been encouraging me to do even more cooking and baking since I can do both at the same time. We connected the WiFi to SmartThings, which enables me to control the oven and my cooking from the bedroom while I am nursing my new baby. I like the convection oven features because it cooks things very evenly and quite a bit faster. The oven also heats up very quickly. You really notice the difference when the divider is in, probably because it splits the oven into upper and lower zones that are smaller. But it's surprising how fast it is even with the divider out. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I like the idea of steam baking. It's meant to keep food moist instead of drying everything out in a hot oven.
There are a lot of racks in this oven, and probably more than you need. I usually take one of them out. But I would rather have 1 rack too many and take 1 out when I want to than to not have enough. I completely love the bottom rack though! It has rollers, so it's really easy to put something heavy there that you can move in and out without worrying so much about dropping it. Great idea!
I had to take time to figure out how to use the cleaning system, but I like it a lot because it does a lot more than a regular oven. It gives you a choice of regular cleaning, descaling the water reservoir, draining or a hybrid clean. I think it's good because it does more than just try to burn everything off like a regular oven does.
My baby will be crawling soon, so my husband and I are already looking at what we need to do to baby proof the house. The child lock on this oven makes that simple and gives me one less thing to worry about. It's easy to lock and unlock by holding the gear on the touch screen for 3 seconds.
I highly recommend this oven. This is the best thing I have gotten for myself in a long while.

Upgraded from a 10-year-old unit and the difference is night and day. The appearance is much more modern and looks elegant. The Blue LED lights are visually appealing and when you open the door the blue interior looks amazing.
I haven't been able to try all the features yet, but have tried the steam feature and healthy cooking feature. Those foods turned out great. The touchscreen also adds ease of use like using a smartphone or tablet to set temperatures and timers. The Flex Duo system is great when you want to cook 2 different items with different temperatures and times in the oven. Both spaces are convection as well!
The inside was easy to clean with the steam cleaning system. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to wipe down after the cleaning mode was used.
The smart features are great as well letting you know when the oven is preheated and when your food is about to be completed.
Overall, greatly impressed with the oven and look forward to trying out more features!

We just had this oven installed a few days ago and we dove right into using it. These are still first impressions, but so far, ...WOW!!! This oven impresses from the very first glance and goes from there.
First off, it's visually stunning in our kitchen. Period. Setup and linking it in with our other Samsung devices on Family Hub was a snap! If you know and use other Samsung devices, this one seamlessly fits right in. Upon connecting, it immediately set up everything based on my existing profile, leaving very little from a Smart Things perspective to take care of. I can already tell my wife (she's a serious home cook) is going to be all over this oven. There are loads of features - far more than you can include in a short review. But they are very well organized and very straight forward to access.
We've now cooked our first few dinners and a few other meals with it, and it has not disappointed! The pre-programmed Healthy Cooking settings are really nice (we started with Baked Potatoes). Best of all, the alerts in the SmartThings app make multitasking cooking with handling other family activities a lot easier - especially as we are also tending to a baby in the house. The alerts also discretely show up on our other SmartThings devices (Family Hub, TVs). We can set and monitor the oven and meals that are cooking on the go - big kudos to the SmartControls mode for this. Even little things like the automatic clock setting are appreciated if you've been in a busy house with kids. It's a little thing, but I *love* the blue lights when it's working too.
My only area I see for improvement is that I wish the clock display would default to being on as opposed to going off after a few minutes. Not a big deal, and it's mainly because the clock display looks so nice when it's on.
This oven is definitely a keeper. It heats nicely, allows right-sizing and flexibility for meals, and is really functional where it counts. Couldn't be happier with it so far!

We bought this earlier this year to replace aging oven. We used it for about 4 months now. Overall it is a nice oven: has high end design and features with very nice touch interface. Quality of the material appears to be good given the price. Flex Duo is a good idea but only limitation is the size of the food you can fit in the lower or upper half of the oven. It would have been nice if they can allow some adjustments. As far as cooking, oven heats up quickly and works pretty good. However, we still notice temperature is not uniform inside the oven where top shelf gets hotter than the bottom. Can use some improvements including an option to leave the clock screen on even when oven is turned off. Overall decent oven.

This oven has a ton of features to cook with and looks amazing. The knobs light up with blue LEDs and there is a nice touch screen for controls. The touch screen allowed to enter the exact temperatures I wanted and time to cook making it easy to follow some cooking recipes. When you first open the door, you'll see the nice blue interior as well.
I tried the Healthy Cook setting on salmon and it turned out great. Juicy on the inside and a slight crisp on the outside. There are other cooking settings that I haven't been able to try yet but I plan on it! This was the first thing I tried to cook in the oven.
The steam cook feature is great as well and the reservoir is mechanical and comes out at the push of a button on the touch screen was a nifty feature.
Having 2 cooking areas with the flex duos came in handy as well. Normally I would cook the chicken nuggets and fries for my kids in the same pan, but they typically require different cooking time and temps. I was able to cook them at the same time and both cooked at the right time and temp. The fries or the nuggets didn't get overcooked this time!
Make sure you connect the Wi-Fi feature as well to Smart Things on your phone. Knowing when your food is done while doing other things in the house is great! You can also just check on your phone how much cooking time is remaining.
I still haven't played with all the features yet but I plan on it with the time having to remain at home now!
Highly recommended arsenal for your cooking needs!

I have been using the Samsung Flex Duo Single wall oven for a little over 2 weeks. There are so many different functions built in to this wall oven (requiring a lot more time to try out all of the different options) making it the most versatile piece of cooking equipment that I own. This oven has much to offer in the way of both appearance and functionality.
When it comes to looks, Samsung is a leader in the game. When I think of Samsung products I imagine ingenuity, beauty, and efficiency. I was not disappointed with this oven. When the product was removed from the package, my eyes lit up like candles on a birthday cake (and I'm referring to those trick candles that never go out). I went with the stainless steel option as I'm remodeling my home and that's the direction we are going in. I was a little weary about that choice due to the possibility of finger prints showing up and never going away, but so far that has not been an issue. The design is not overwhelming, which makes it friendly for people like my husband who don't cook as much. It has a control knob, a touch screen display, and a temperature knob. Here's my favorite part - the inside is this gorgeous shade of blue, putting a smile on my face every time I open it. There are 6 rack positions, a very handy gliding rack, and the divider if you are choosing to use the Duo option.
The "control knob" allows you to choose from multiple different cooking/care settings: Bake, Broil, Convection Bake/Roast, Steam Bake/Roast, Healthy cook, Gourmet cook, Keep Warm, Clean, and Smart Control. When you choose one of the specialty cooking options such as Healthy Cook, it provides more cook settings such as dehydrate. Yes, my oven dehydrates!
I have taken some time exploring some of the settings that are newer to me, such as Gourmet Cook and Steam Roast/Bake. After selecting the Gourmet Cook function with the control knob, a mouth watering selection of dishes pops up on the touch screen display. You select your meal and follow the instructions. It will literally tell you what rack to cook your dish on. The caveat is that these meals are preset and this feature can only be used with these specific meals. The recipes for the dishes were easy to find and simple to follow. I've tried baked desserts, roasts, casseroles.... I haven't had a flop yet.
My only critiques with the oven thus far is that I have not mastered the time recommendations on some of the settings. It cooks faster than what I am use to.

the first time we decided to try the self cleaning. it fried all four circuit boards. to repair it would cost $1500. warranty expired last month!! i dont recommend buying.

Don't waste your money. We have had nothing but problems with this oven. Parts have been replaced. Still have issues. Uneven cooking on baked goods. NEVER have been able to use connectivity to App and WiFi. I ask for a replacement. Never happened.

We bought this oven (or last year's version of it) in 2017. Two weeks ago we received an error message after cooking indicating there was a problem w/ the cooling motor? Almost $600 later our oven is fixed and nothing is covered by the warranty. How does a cooling motor break after 18 months of moderate use?? You'd think you buy a $2000+ oven and you'd get a certain level of quality but obviously not. I spent over $10,000 on Samsung appliances when we redid our kitchen last year...so far the dishwasher door had to be replaced and now this issue w/ the oven. Your customers deserve better Samsung.

not a substitue for a double oven

Not exactly a double oven, but gives you some options. Installed in time for pre-Thanksgiving cooking, we had little time to learn. On the positive, it preheats very fast, and shows you the interior temp as it's heating up. It is attractive with stainless exterior, blue enameled interior, and a touch screen for programming your cooking and delay start. Has excellent interior lighting, lower section illuminated in front by lights built into the door; no shadowing from above. It is a steam oven, when you want one, but the water must be drained from the oven after use and is Wi-Fi control, if you first set the oven to that setting. Setting it up was complicated.
As a single oven, the convection fans turn on and off to distribute the hot air, however the top of the oven is still the hottest area and they did not correct that. The divider allows cooking at 2 different temps, within a range, but of course, limits the size of dish that can be accommodated. The gliding rack makes easy handling a heavy dish, but has limited positions in a divided oven and takes the space of 2 racks, and then only shallow pans can be used on it. The digital panel displaying a digital clock goes dark after 2 hrs., you'll only find this noted in the manual's fine print, so don't expect to have a clock in the kitchen on this appliance, as the company's promo pics show. And response does lag.
The interior oven glass(??) is scratched by Teflon scouring pad, such as that on the back of a sponge. CustServ says it's glass, but can provide no explanation as to why it would be scratched,(or another contact to talk to about it.) Lost in translation, the user's manual does not otherwise provide specific care instructions for the glass parts. In one place(pg51,) it says do not use steel wool pad, but elsewhere(pg42,) it says a soap-filled steel-wool pad(Brillo) can be used on the exterior frame?! The Hybrid cleaning mode with steam did not effectively clean after our Thanksgiving cooking and spills, with its burnt-on grime. Trying self clean, now. Crossing fingers that we don't have problems develop as some other reviewers have noted. Purchased extended gap coverage from dealer, just in case.

We bought this a month ago and I regret not checking the reviews first. The interface is a mess: we've burned multiple recipes just because the timers require a non-intuitive two-touch confirmation, the touchscreen is laggy, meaning you're frequently pushing the screen multiple times to get the feedback you want, and the temperature knobs make no sense at all (click back and forth to raise/lower temperature? On a rotating knob?) Oh, and the wifi/smart features don't work at all (thousands of reviews on the app confirm this).
The broiler is overpowered to the point of being unusable. High broil chars things in seconds, and even low broil requires you to use a lower rack to prevent burning too quickly.
It bakes things just fine and it looks pretty, so there's that. But I'm deeply unhappy with Samsung's inattention to detail in this very expensive oven.
